Adult Sunday School

Hello. My name is Donna Hurley and I have taught the Bible for 20+ years. I have a Master’s degree in education and truly enjoy teaching the Word of the Lord. I enjoy digging into the history of the Word of God and drawing parallels between life during what is considered “Biblical Times” and today’s world.  The more we learn, we realize that we are actually walking in a period of time that is still covered under the heading of “Biblical Times”.

Although class is slated to officially start at 10:15, I encourage anyone who is there to take advantage of the period from 10:00 to 10:15 to read/work on the resource pages that add depth to the lesson. You will find the worksheets at your tables and instructions on the white board. We can use these pages as enhancements to our discussions during our lessons.  You will also find an added resource for further study of our Sunday School subject throughout the week. If you do not already have a particular Bible study started, I encourage you to use these daily scriptures.

Our upcoming series of lessons will begin December 5th and will be found in the Gospel of Luke. The first three lessons focus on Christ’s entrance into the world. Lessons four through seven focus on the themes of love,  the breadth & reach of the gospel, the Parable of the Prodigal Son, and concludes with the events that surround the Resurrection of Christ.
